Wallos
FreeEvery auto-renewal on one list, with a reminder before each charge
A self-hosted subscription tracker. Enter the price and cycle of every membership, cloud service and software plan, and it works out your monthly total, lists upcoming charge dates, breaks spending down by category, payment method and household member, and sends reminders before renewals by email, Telegram, Discord, Gotify, Pushover or webhook. One Docker command gets it running, and the interface includes Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Why we picked it
GPL-3.0, 8,574 stars. The latest release, v5.8.1, came out on 18 September 2026.
Once subscriptions pile up, the hard part is not paying but remembering what you signed up for. Streaming, cloud storage, domains, VPS plans and annual app fees are spread across different cards and accounts, and at the end of the year you find a few you stopped using long ago still being charged. Wallos does one job: puts them in one list, totals the monthly and yearly cost, and reminds you before each charge.
Deployment is light. docker run with one port and two mounted directories (database and logos) is
enough. Data is a single SQLite file, so a backup is a copy. The account you create on first launch
is an admin account on your own instance and talks to no outside service. It supports multiple users
and OIDC single sign-on.
The details are considered: subscriptions in several currencies can be converted to a main currency, logos can be searched automatically by name when adding a subscription, a calendar view shows which days money goes out, and you can mark a subscription for cancellation to get a separate reminder before it renews.
To be clear about:
- Currency conversion needs your own Fixer API key. Fixer has a free tier; without a key the app still works, it just will not convert between currencies.
- Logo search sends subscription names to DuckDuckGo or Brave image search, and a background job periodically checks GitHub for the latest version. Upload logos manually if that bothers you.
- AI savings recommendations are optional and need your own ChatGPT, Gemini or local Ollama.
- The App Store has an app called "Wallos - Subscription Manager" from a different developer, with in-app purchases. Wallos itself has no native app; on a phone you use the web interface, which has a mobile layout.
